Poppy (Wenjia) Kang is an Illustrator and Visual Development artist. She grew up in Shenzhen, where is the first Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in China. “Reform and opening” is the policy of SEZ. To continually reform her working approaches and to be open to multi-disciplinary challenges is also her policy of art. She has a passion for telling stories with dramatic mood and believable lighting. She loves nature, movies, humor and collecting other amazing artists’ awesome works. She recently graduated from Art Center, Pasadena and currently lives in Los Angeles. She just started a journey to the utopia of animation art, game art and children’s book illustration.
